On September 26, Chris Gantt-Sorenson covered the EEOC’s 2024 Enforcement Guidance on Harassment in the Workplace in detail, providing employers and human resource professionals an understanding of how the Guidance impacts EEOC’s investigations and considerations of Charges of Discrimination and Harassment filed with the agency.
The webinar provided attendees the following:
- An understanding of how the EEOC changed its analysis of Charges from its 1999 Enforcement Guidance and prior Guidance;
- Discussion on what the EEOC will consider in its investigations;
- Guidance on how HR professionals and employers should analyze whether their anti-harassment and discrimination policies have been violated in conjunction with the EEOC Guidance;
- Guidance on how employers should align their investigations to address expectations of the EEOC when investigating reports of harassment, discrimination or retaliation under their respective policies; and
- An investigative tool for use in those investigations.
